There are 2 events in which we were both present that I remember vividly.

In the 1967 Christmas Party, you drew my number 221 in the lucky draw, but I had lost my ticket. Somehow I was awarded the prize.

I met you at the Red Cross HQ when I made my second blood donation and you had 50. That inspired me to donate regularly up to now, totaling 170

although Dr. Hinton had already left Queen Elizabeth School when I started secondary education there, I surely benefited from what he had done for the school which is fairly grass root.

After graduation, I continue to hear compliment from older generations of alumni. I am sure he must have done something great to deserve so much warm gratitude.

It is miraculous that one headmaster could build up a bondage for alumni, across continents and generations.

The dynamics never wither, his genuine kindness, the way he cared for others, his sense of righteousness, … the list can go on for miles.

My heart aches, at the same time remind myself that he is in a better place. In peace and without any more earthly suffering. He knew the seeds of love, care and encouragement that he had scattered all his life now blossom all over the world ! We will cherish the memories of our dear Mr Hinton.
